When planning your stone countertops, it’s crucial to pay attention to the edge design. This aspect requires a discussion with your kitchen designer and stonemason before your kitchen cabinets are crafted.

For instance, a client aiming for a “French Provincial” or “Farmers” style kitchen might opt for a edge like pencil round top and bottom or arris, while a modern design often pairs well with simpler edges like the 20mm/40mm miltred or laminated.

Consider that rounded edges, such as pencil round, are more forgiving and less prone to chipping than square arrised edges. Additionally, keep in mind that more intricate edges like laminated edges tend to come at a higher cost compared to standard edges like the pencil round.
